The first and the only Russian Lace Museum was opened near the “Vologodski Kreml” (the Vologda Kremlin). Its exposition comprises not only famous Vologda laces, but over 700 articles reflecting the world history of lacy art as well.
On the ground floor there is a souvenir shop where tourists can buy gifts that will remind you of this visit, get information about events held in the region and about local highlights. And in the museum café one can relax and have a cup of coffee. Excursions are held in Russian, English and French. In 2015, Lace Museum was ranked as one of the TOP-10 museums in Russia according to the TripAdvisor portal, being No.9 in the rating.
